About This Show

Dubbed “the American Olivier” by Frank Rich of The New York Times, the distinguished stage and screen actor Kevin Kline has created a one-man show designed to focus on Shakespeare from the actor’s point of view. His tribute includes excerpts and monologues from Hamlet, Henry V, As You Like It, Richard III, and others, interspersed with anecdotes and commentary, all serving to illustrate the power of Shakespeare’s language. Kline’s honors include an Academy Award (A Fish Called Wanda) and two Tonys (On the Twentieth Century and The Pirates of Penzance) and his screen credits are myriad, ranging from Sophie’s Choice (Golden Globe nomination) and The Big Chill to Dave, Prairie Home Companion, The Ice Storm, French Kiss and Grand Canyon.
