One of just five recording artists to have Top 40 Hits in each decade after 1955, Johnny Mathis made a name singing romantic ballads like “Chances Are,” “Misty,” “Wonderful, Wonderful,” “It’s Not For Me To Say” and “Too Much, Too Little, Too Late,” his duet with Deniece Williams. Three times Grammy nominated, and twice inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, his Greatest Hits collection spent 490 weeks (almost 10 years) on the charts, a feat recorded by the Guinness Book of World Records. He’s sold over 350 million records, and is still recording over 50 years after his debut.
