An extra-terrestrial (E.T.) is accidentally left behind on Earth, where he is discovered by a young boy named Elliot. Along with his brother and sister, Elliot tries to help his new friend contact his home planet to be rescued. In the meantime, they must hide him from scientists and government agents who are hunting him down. Will E.T. find his way back home?
