Cinderella

Graham Lustig has re-envisioned Cinderella as a modern-day fairy tale for a new generation of dance lovers by taking the classic rags-to-riches story and setting it in the present day. Closely following Sergei Prokofiev’s original and brilliant scenario, love overcomes all obstacles including social class, to allow Cinderella to marry her Prince Charming. With a touch of stage magic using elaborate “flying capes” and inventive lighting designs, Cinderella enters the 21st century with confidence. The artists of ARB are complemented by the appearance of 12 young dancers, performing as Dragonflies and Crickets, and later as impish Time Dwarfs.
