About This Show

Ain’t Misbehavin’ recalls the glory of the Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s and ’30s, when high-society Manhattan nightclubs like the Cotton Club and Savoy Ballroom as well as Lenox Avenue dives were filled with piano players banging out the new beat known as swing. Five uniquely talented singers perform an evening of rowdy, raunchy, and humorous songs that capture the various moods of the era and reflect Waller’s view of life as a journey meant for pleasure and play. The revue features hit favorites of the era including "I Can’t Give You Anything but Love, Baby," "It’s a Sin to Tell a Lie," "Squeeze Me" and "Ain’t Misbehavin’."
