About This Show

Back by popular audience demand, Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT) will present C.S. Lewis’ classic tale The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. A tremendous hit last holiday season, the production holds the record for the biggest box office success in SCT’s history.

The play is adapted by the prolific British author and playwright Adrian Mitchell and features composition by Shaun Davey. Seattle Children’s Theatre’s production will be directed by SCT Artistic Director Linda Hartzell, who directed last year’s successful production as well.

Set during World War II, the dramatization that will be performed at SCT faithfully recreates the tale of Aslan, the great lion, his struggle with the White Witch and the adventures of four siblings who wander into an old wardrobe that yields a passageway into the mysterious realm of Narnia. Half a century since the Chronicles of Narnia began, this story remains unforgettable.
