The Star Without A Name
$10 - $22
The Star Without a Name is the story of a 12-hour love affair, and of those who were there to witness it. The life of routine in a sleepy country village in 1942 is shaken one night when an express train makes an unexpected stop to unload a mysterious passenger — a glamorous woman who has no money and refuses to say who she is. Translated and adapted from Romanian by director and producer Ana-Catrina Buchser, The Star Without a Name is written by Mihail Sebastian, better known in the US for his journals on surviving fascism and anti-semitism, which were adapted into a play by David Auburn in 2004.
