Paulo Szot is one of the most acclaimed and versatile baritones in the world. Mr. Szot has appeared with most major opera companies throughout the United States, Europe, and his native Brazil. His debut with the San Francisco Opera was in the 2012-2013 season in the role of Escamillo in their production of Carmen. In 2008, Mr. Szot won the Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards for Best Actor in a Musical for his performance as Emile De Beque in the Broadway revival of South Pacific opposite Kelli O'Hara at Lincoln Center. Each season, Mr. Szot also sings on some of the greatest concert stages in the world, big and small, including Carnegie Hall, Royal Festival Hall, the Ravinia Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Café Carlyle, and Feinstein's/54 Below.
