About This Show

The Broadway-bound musical Lennon, based on the life and songs of former Beatle John Lennon, looks at how one man’s life defined the times and the socio-political struggle that overtook our world. The show will feature a cast of 10 and a 10-piece onstage band. Among the 27 songs performed in the new musical are such hits as “Imagine,” “Instant Karma,” “Give Peace a Chance,” “(Just Like) Starting Over” and “Whatever Gets You Through the Night.” The show also uses use three rare and unpublished songs by John Lennon: “India, India” and “I Don’t Want to Lose You” which were never published, and exist only on private recordings, and a third song, “Cookin’ (in the Kitchen of Love),” was recorded by Ringo Starr in 1976, but was never recorded by John Lennon.
