New York City
Marin Theatre presents the Professional World Premiere of
Tennessee Williams’ Fugitive Kind. Set in the 1930’s, the drama centers around the people who occupy and pass through a transient hotel on the St. Louis waterfront – a place where beds go for 15 cents a night. The hotel is run by the owner’s adopted daughter, who deals with an array of characters, from gangsters to drifters, with an iron hand and soft heart. Spicy plots and subplots are revealed as you witness the foundation of many of Williams later and unforgettable characters are evident in this earlier piece.
