The Girl I Mean to Be is a night of stories and songs blending contemporary and classical musical theater,
refashioned pop, and a few original indie-folk tunes in a show that promises something for everyone throughout a journey of self-discovery and an exploration of the music that has influenced Brooke Michael Smith along the way. Smith was born and raised in St. Louis and has also lived and performed in Los Angeles, New York, and now San Francisco, where she was named Best New Cabaret Artist of 2016.
