About This Show

Bitter Show is made up of writer/performers Leslie Dotson, Melinda Whitehouse and Mike Spiegelman (also known as the Spieganator), with special appearances by performers Karen Whitehouse and Eileen Murphy and additional material by Dave Chambers. They are also joined by sketch comedy group UPHILL BOTH WAYS.

Macaroni Art Theatre is a local sketch troupe comprised of several stand-up comedians. Their off-beat style and absurdist is fun for the whole family while being simultaniously innapropriate for small children and people from Modesto.

2good4u, the world’s first all-girl boy band, was founded by sisters Melinda and Karen Whitehouse in October 2001. Melinda, a fixture on the San Francisco sketch comedy scene, has performed coast to coast. Karen is best known for creating one of their most beloved bits, a balloon dance to “I Am Woman”. Karaoke hostess Eileen Murphy joined for the variety show “Pajama Jammy Jam”, staged in August 2002. Jazz
singer Leslie Dotson made her debut on “The Harley Show”, aired on Channel 29 in February 2003. The ladies have appeared at such venues as the Marsh’s Mock Cafe, Theater Spanganga, Tapioka, and the Odeon. Their most recent production, a full-length musical comedy called “Viva Karaoke!”, enjoyed a successful three-week run at the Climate Theater.
