Ray of Light Theatre presents a delicious twist on the modern day musical comedy with the San Francisco premiere of Bat Boy: the Musical. Based on the infamous story ripped from the headlines of The Weekly World News, the production is directed by James Monroe Iglehart, winner of multiple Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Awards and star of the West Coast Premiere of Bat Boy in 2003 at Theatreworks. Bat Boy: The Musical is not about baseball. Nor is it about a young Bruce Wayne. It is the tale of the half human/half bat discovered in the caves of West Virginia and brought into a world not ready for him.
