About This Show

Award-winning stage, screen and television actor Danny Glover headlines A Date with Danny Glover, a fund-raising event benefiting Triad Stage, the Greensboro-based not-for-profit regional theatre. Glover will be interviewed onstage by Dr. Johnnetta Cole, president of Bennett College, in an Inside the Actors Studio-type setting. Before the interview, Glover and Cole join event sponsors for a private party. Following the onstage portion of the evening, Triad Stage hosts a reception on the newly-renovated third floor of the theatre.

Glover, who can currently be seen in the Academy Award-winning Dream Girls, as well as the new film Shooter with Mark Walberg, is known worldwide for his appearances in the blockbuster Lethal Weapon movies, and for roles in The Color Purple, Witness, and Places in the Heart, all Oscar-nominated films. His television work includes acclaimed roles in Lonesome Dove, Alex Haley’s Queen, Freedom Song, Buffalo Soldiers, and the title role in Mandela. Glover made his Broadway debut in Athol Fugard’s Master Harold… and the boys.

Tickets are currently only available through sponsorship packages. To become an event sponsor or for more information contact the event co-chairs at 336-274-0067 ext. 208 or theatre@triadstage.org
