The Chief

The Pitsburgh Public Theatre presents The Chief. The play takes place in 1976 in Art Rooney’s office at Three Rivers Stadium, as he prepares for an event honoring him at the Knights of Columbus. While getting ready, he welcomes the audience into his world with stories of growing up on Pittsburgh’s Northside, playing minor league baseball with his brother Dan, and taking a fledgling semi-pro football team franchise from nothing to an NFL dynasty.
