About This Show

There are blues singers, hippies and rock stars…then there’s Janis Joplin. She gave a piece of her heart with every song and her powerful voice and explosive presence electrified a generation. Crafted from Janis’ letters home to her family, her journey from small-town girl to rock-and-roll icon comes alive in this thrilling musical by Randal Myler, the creator of Hank Williams: Lost Highway. All her biggest hit songs from “Me and Bobby McGee” to “Ball and Chain” are woven with glimpses of her internal life, creating a complex portrait of the queen of the Summer of Love.

No performances April 23rd-30th.
