As the forlorn feline who won her first Tony Award when she sang Memory, this silver-throated Glamour Cat casts an easy spell over her audience with her vocal power, having also dazzled audiences in Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Wyatt Earp and Tender Mercies. For this one-night-only glimpse of "The Voice of Broadway," Betty Buckley will perform some of her favorite Broadway selections interspersed with backstage anecdotes. The New York Times called her concert an "artful blend of storytelling and picture-painting that reaches high and goes deep." And Playbill wrote, "Buckley has always been a terrific storyteller in song, but who knew she was equally compelling without the music? These are marvelous, theatrical stories." Buckley will be accompanied by the talented musician and comedian Seth Rudetsky. As a pianist, he has performed in more than a dozen Broadway shows, including Les Miserables and Phantom of the Opera, and is the host of Seth's Big Fat Broadway on Sirius Satellite Radio.
