Moon Over Buffalo

In Moon Over Buffalo, a comedy by Ken Ludwig, an acting couple, on tour in Buffalo in 1953, is performing Cyrano de Bergerac and Private Lives on alternating performances. Suddenly they learn that the famous Hollywood director Frank Capra (It’s a Wonderful Life) is coming to see a matinee. Finally, a last chance at stardom! Or will it be? What will Charlotte do with her drunken husband and leading man? Will he be sober enough to emote? And why does he think he should be “Cyrano” when everyone else knows its Private Lives this afternoon? And to make matters worse, the misadventures are compounded by the troupe’s manager, Charlotte’s deaf mother!!
