The Professional Theatre Training Program and the Resident Ensemble Players Present The Long Christmas Dinner by Thornton Wilder. Join us for this special presentation directed by renowned movement artist Jewel Walker. Written several years before Wilder’s well-known Our Town, this brief one-act cleverly chronicles ninety years in the lives of the Bayard family. Focusing on the family rituals of a holiday dinner, four subsequent generations of the Bayard’s explore the themes of love, death, change and continuity. Simple, yet profound, Wilder renders a universal truth – people may come and go, but family continues on.
