The New York Pops hosts its annual cabaret fundraiser, this year starring Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award winner Faith Prince. One of Broadway's leading ladies, Prince is perhaps best known for her performance in the 1992 revival of Guys and Dolls opposite Nathan Lane. This event includes a pre-concert champagne reception, a music education demonstration led by PopsEd teaching artists, and dinner with wine pairings, followed by Prince's performance.
Proceeds from the event support the New York Pops's PopsEd music programs, which reach more than 5,000 New York City students each year throughout NYC's five boroughs. PopsEd allows students of all ages and backgrounds to participate in fully customizable music programs that blend traditional education with fun, using composition, lyrics-writing, performance, and mentorship to foster learning and creativity.
