Actress and television personality, Shirley Blanc Romaine, hosts a theater party and luncheon for Nassau County Museum of Arts. The show is Anna in the Tropics, this season’s most eagerly-awaited new play. It is by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Nilo Cruz. The show stars Jimmy Smits and features Priscilla Lopez in a compelling story about the intersection of Tolstoy, the tropics and the American dream. At 11:45 am, Romaine meets the theater group at the elegant Firebird Restaurant where she will provide background on the play and its author over lunch before the short walk to the theater.
