William Shakespeare’s Haunted Ship is a site-specific theatrical event in which the ghost of Shakespeare himself brings the ghosts of his most famous characters to life. As the audience is led through the “haunted ship”, they encounter characters such as Macbeth and the witches,
Hamlet, Caliban, Romeo and Juliet, each one speaking the words penned for them over four hundred years ago. People are led through the Hall of Fairies (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), feel Caesar’s wounds (Julius Caesar), dip their toes into Ophelia’s Riverbed of Death (Hamlet) and dine at the table of Titus Andronicus (from the play of the same title, in which Titus
is served a pie with a special filling – his family). The Faux-Real Theater Company presents this annual Halloween treat for one day only!
