New York City
Dedicated to empowering women and children around the globe who are impacted by or infected with HIV/AIDS, The Let Love Lead Project hopes to make this a wonderful holiday by supplying food and the tuition needed to stay in school to South African children who have been orphaned by the pandemic disease. The fundraising gala in support of this cause is hosted by Broadway actor Lizan Mitchell. Other performers include the Batuba Collective Percussion Ensemble; Big Apple Playback Theater; Acoustic Soul artist Albert DelRio; Choreography by Francisco Martinez with dancers Josh Johnson and Natasha Diamond-Walker (The Ailey School); and singer/songwriter Laura Wolfe and The Let Love Lead Chanting Ensemble. In addition, there are inspiring stories of courage and perseverance from Let Love Lead’s latest trip to South Africa.
