Parker String Quartet & Tanya Bannister

The Parker String Quartet pushes the boundaries of classical music, taking it into concert halls and rock clubs alike. This performance pairs the group with pianist Tanya Bannister for the world premiere of a piano quintet by Suzanne Farrin. The concert also features Gyorgy Ligeti’s earth shattering “Quartet No. 2” and a world premiere for solo piano by Chris Theofanidis. A rare opportunity to see the traditional piano quintet constructed, deconstructed and flipped on its ear.
