About This Show

Vida Sueño Productions presents Voices of Juárez, a one-woman play created and performed by Kristen Hunter, and directed by Aole T Miller.

The show was written in response to the serial rape and murder of women in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. Nearly 400 young women have been murdered since 1993, and the cases have not reached justice. In this solo performance, a young woman’s spirit returns to share her story, transforming into fifteen different characters to give voice to the people of her past and the spirits of her present.

The piece will be performed in an attempt to both spread awareness and raise funds for human rights organizations at work on these cases.
