New York City
A new fantasy for the theatre inspired by the short stories of Bruno Schulz
Directed and produced by Anthony Cerrato in association with The Ontological-Hysteric Theater with support from chashama.
Anthony Cerrato, award winning director and co-founder of The Farm Theatre (Charlotte, NC), and Richard Foreman’s Stage Manager and Assistant Director for the past three years presents his first full-length piece here in New York City.
Inspired by the short stories of Bruno Schulz, one of modern Europe’s most original and bizarre imaginations, Under the Sign of the Hourglass… is a fantastical exploration of a unique and curiously strange family, a dreamlike montage of a young boy’s memories and experiences, and his jumbled, confused, yet wondrous realizations of how he became who he is.
