The Maids

The Maids is a one act psychological drama by the acclaimed French playwright Jean Genet. The story is inspired by the actual accounts of the Papin sister murders; the two French maids who bludgeoned their Mistress and her daughter with a hammer. However, this play is not a true crime saga, but the events are twisted and what is revealed is a nightmarish world in which people are objects, the objects are set on destruction, and the routine is murder.
