Thalia Spanish Theatre presents the bilingual production of Pedro Calderon de la Barca’s The Great Theatre of the World/El Gran Teatro Del Mundo, produced and directed by Angel Gil Orrios. The play presents the archtypes of society: the King, the Rich Man, the Poor Man, the Peasant, Beauty, and Discretion, who play their parts in the world. It is a metaphor of life as theater, in which we all play — badly or well — the role that the author intended. The production combines masks and live music.
English performances are Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8pm; Saturdays at 3pm. Spanish performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm; Sundays at 4pm.
