About This Show

In Excess Hollywood, acclaimed New York director Mark Waldrop (When Pigs Fly), music director Peter Mills (The Pursuit of Persephone) and choreographer Michele Mossay-Cuevas (Tuscaloosa’s Calling Me…) have prepared this year’s Princeton troupe for a Triangle send-up of America’s most glittering cultural icon.

It’s the eve of The World Film Awards and the Weiner Brothers are certain their blockbuster asteroid pic will beat out the entry of French rival Le Stat to win the coveted Maxine statuette for best picture. But, oops! Reality bites when a real asteroid annihilates a real Wisconsin town, making release of the American movie politically impossible! Now it’s a madcap dash to create a new best picture contender in only four weeks. Desperate, the studio teams crowd-pleasing producer Kate with director-artiste Carter, and the hilarious, romantic, tuneful, dance-filled melee begins! Prepare yourself for a political and cultural satire of cinemascopic proportions…including Triangle’s hallmark drag kickline, in glittering gold by costumer David Kaley.
