L.O.L. is the story of one man’s dark journey into the world of cybersex. Daniel Lawrence is a moderately successful novelist who has trouble connecting to women in the real world. Confused and desperate, he turns to the internet and its anonymous chat rooms for possible companionship. His attempts to establish contact there are no less frustrating until he creates a totally different online personality – Karen. Karen is everything Danny is not. Confident, brash and bold, Karen has no trouble making friends and taking on multiple internet sex partners. Little by little, however, Karen is emerging as the dominant part of Danny’s life and he is in the fight of his life to regain his identity as his personal life and career start to fall apart.
