About This Show

About Krapp… One evening in the future, Krapp, a writer, sits alone in his den confronted by the devastating defectiveness of a life lived in pursuit of his “great work,” the memories of past loves, and terrifying uncertainties of his future. A tragic blend of longing loathing and most of all regret, Mercedes Murphy’s production of Krapp’s Last Tape, burns with that ever-haunting question…what if?

The History of Krapp… This March will mark Graeme’s and Murphy’s third production of Krapp. As graduate students at Harvard University’s Institute for Advanced Theater Training at the American Repertory Theatre, the two forged a deep connection to the piece that has proven to be the cornerstone of all their artistic pursuits. The two committed to revisit the piece whenever their own lives were turned upside down, which lead to their second production of Krapp upon their arrival in NYC after grad school. This most recent production of Krapp is prompted by 4 years of hard city living filled with love, loss and laughter…
