About This Show

Written by Quinn D. Eli, directed by Jessica Rotondi, and presented as part of the 10th Annual New York International Fringe Festival, Hot Black/Asian Action features a multiracial cast in a trio of short plays about those strange, surreal and absurd moments when racial and sexual stereotypes collide.

“Little Lies,” the first of the three shorts, is a comic fable about a playwright who casts himself as the lead in an interracial sex romp. “Tiny Daggers,” the second play, shows the life-threatening results when sexual assumptions about race unfold in a darkened theater. Finally, “Small Portions” shows what happens when an African-American playwright, an Asian-American actress, and an oversexed bartender come together over daiquiris at a ghost-filled Chinese restaurant.
