Based on the salacious off- and on-screen personalities of the 1966 hit film, GEORGE/MARTHA imagines what might have happened if famed improviser and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? director Mike Nichols had introduced Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton to the world of comedy improvisation.
Jason Specland plays Richard Burton as George, and Adrian Sexton plays Elizabeth Taylor as Martha. The audience has a role, too: They play the part of the guests who have stumbled into the middle of their cutting fun and games. What can't George and Martha talk about this time? A blender? A pineapple? A fondue pot? Only the audience knows for sure.
GEORGE/MARTHA: Fun and games. Truth and illusion. No script.
