About This Show

This is a show about humanity’s survival. 1938 Czestochowa, Poland – Two families are joined at the hip; best of friends. One is Catholic and the other is Jewish. The play starts off as a comedy until the midpoint when it turns tragic. The Nazis invade and the Jewish family disappears. The Catholic family is devastated-and it gets worse when they learn from Polish Patriot Jan Karski what is happening to the Jews. And the Catholic family also learns from a neighbor about atrocities being committed by the Germans against Christian Poles as well. In the play, honored by name are the brave rebellious Jewish youths who stood up to the Nazis in Czestochowa, and also honored by name are the brave Christian Poles honored by name who saved the lives of Jewish neighbors. The play ends…well you will just have to see the ending.

In essence, this is a play about a Catholic family, a Jewish family, Jan Karski and a fish (yes, a fish).
