About This Show

The Brooklyn Playwrights Collective presents their Second Annual Spring Festival: Cruel & Unusual, works inspired by Antonin Artaud.

Cruel and Unusual features one-acts inspired by the work of French dramatist, thinker, and madman Antonin Artuad. Many plays encourage audience involvement. Interspersed between one-acts will be multi-media artists and musical acts, all an eclectic mix of experimental theater of a myriad of performance mediums.
