About This Show

Structured like one of the notorious horror/sci-fi comics put out by EC in the 1950s (the alleged depravity of which prompted congressional hearings), Bizarre Science Fantasy is an anthology of three eerily comic movement pieces. “The Amphibians” depicts the besotted denizens of a remote watering hole beset by a freakish plague. In “North of Polaris,” two comely female astronauts discover triumph and heartache in the deepest reaches of outer space. And “Hell’s Belles” (one of the hits of last summer’s Hell Festival at the Brick) follows the jazz/folk adventures of a hapless country boy’s first foray to the Big City, with damning results.
