Act I
“Michael D. Jackson’s A Taste of Heaven, set in the 1880s, focuses on the time when manly love, including physical affection, began to be equated with an erotic love with a name that few wished to embrace. Based on the diaries of American poet F. S. Ryman, this stately play portrays the evolving relationship of two college friends who know what they want, but aren’t sure if the are allowed to have it.” – Richard Dobbs, Bay Area Reporter

Act II
P.S. 69 starring Susan Jeremy is a very funny examination of life as a substitute teacher in a Brooklyn school. Susan Jeremy plays all 24 characters in her critically acclaimed tour de force that is based on Jeremy’s experiences as a teacher in a Brooklyn public elementary school. It tells the story of Molly DeKowski, an uncertain young woman who wants to be a teacher. As Jeremy weaves 24 characters to portray the diversity and the difficulties inherent in an overcrowded, understaffed and under-funded inner city school, she brings to life an entire school system from the jive-talking, fourth-grade hip-hoppers, to the burned-out, embittered teachers to the over-protective mothers with allergy-ridden children. PS 69 most recently won Best Comedy at the 2002 Montreal Fringe Festival. Written by Mary Fulham and Susan Jeremy, and directed by Mary Fulham.
