After opening to rave reviews, MATT & BEN, the new Off-Broadway comedy written by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers now stars new cast members Jennifer R. Morris and Quincy Tyler Bernstine. MATT & BEN took the prize for "Best Overall Production" during its sold-out run at the 2002 New York International Fringe Festival. This winter MATT & BEN was the only play invited to appear at the HBO sponsored U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. MATT & BEN is directed by David Warren (Barbara's Wedding, Pterodactyls) with a scenic design by James Youmans (Hedwig & The Angry Inch, Jeffrey, The Food Chain), lighting design by Jeff Croiter (Barbara's Wedding, Passion Play) and sound design by Fitz Patton (As Long As We Both Shall Laugh, Hobson's Choice). The Producers are Victoria Lang ("Live With Regis & Kathie Lee," Macbeth In Manhattan) & Pier Paolo Piccoli (Dark Tides, Macbeth In Manhattan), Stephen Pevner (Vagina Monologues, Bash) and Jason Hsiao ("Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn"). In Matt & Ben, Morris and Bernstine portray Matt (Damon) and Ben (Affleck) before J-Lo, before Gwyneth, before "Project Greenlight," before Oscar -- before anyone actually gave a damn. When the screenplay for Good Will Hunting drops mysteriously from the heavens, the boys realize they're being tested by a Higher Power. Doors open 25 minutes before performance.
