About This Show

In a terrifying near future, Heresy, takes on the American Dream.

Says playwright A.R. Gurney, “Heresy is a new look at an old story. But it’s really about what happens when Americans are told by their president to go shopping in the face of unspeakable terror.”

In typical Gurney fashion, he puts his light touch on our darkest despair.

Reg E. Cathey (The Wire)?, Tommy Crawford?, Steve Mellor, Kathy Najimy (Dirty Blonde, The Kathy and Mo Show, Hocus Pocus), Annette O’Toole (Smallville), Danny Rivera and Ariel Woodiwiss.

Beginning Friday, October 19th, Tony-Award winner Karen Ziemba (Contact, Steel Pier, Curtains), joins the cast succeeding Kathy Najimy.

"Heresy hits the funny bone…the cast and Jim Simpson’s brisk direction make it fun."

A.R. Gurney’s mildly entertaining polemic, set in the near-future, lacks subtlety.
