About This Show

Anyone who’s ever grown up in a small town has always wanted at one time or
another to move to the big city for excitement, adventure or just to escape the
tedium of home. Take Fiona Walsh, who details her childhood experiences in
her one-woman show Great American White Teeth.

David Sullivan directs another one act about a lost soul looking for a place to
belong. Austin (Occi) Byrne embarks on a raw, pugilistic, and profane journey
through rural Ireland that is both hilarious and heartbreaking. Previously
performed by the author at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in London, and in
Dublin, Swansong paints "a vivid and bruising picture of life in the west of Ireland" (The Times). This production features a solo performance by acclaimed Irish actor Tim Ruddy.
