Theatre Ariel presents the world première of 10 Imaginings of Sarah and Hagar, by Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer with music by Juliet I. Spitzer. Through the interwoven relationship between the biblical figures Sarah and Hagar the play explores themes both ancient and contemporary that continue to take center stage in the world today. In a series of 10 imaginings/scenes the experiences of Sarah and Hagar reflect the challenges women face in their relationship with each other, family and community. It is through this lens that 10 Imaginings of Sarah and Hagar re-envisions this cross-cultural foundational story. Part of Untitled Theater Company #61's Festival of Jewish Theater and Ideas.
