Nothing Like A Dame 2004

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS presents The 9th Annual Nothing like a Dame 2004, benefiting The Phyllis Newman Women’s Health Initiative of The Actors’ Fund of America. Sure to be a night to remember, Nothing Like a Dame 2004 features performances from the hottest talent of the Broadway community. This night stars Kathy Brier, Zoe Caldwell, Kathleen Chalfant, Kate Clinton, Christine Ebersole, Tovah Feldshuh, Lauren Flanigan, Sutton Foster, Deidre Goodwin, Amanda Green, Julie Halston, Joan Hamburg, Heather Headley, Nancy Lemenager, Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Bebe Neuwirth, Phyllis Newman, Chita Rivera, Carole Shelley, Anna Vissi, and Karen Ziemba. Also featured are The ladies (human and handheld) of Avenue Q and The ladies of Movin’ Out. Look out for a trio of super trios with The Dynamites of Hairspray, The Urchins of Little Shop of Horrors, and The Radio of Caroline, or Change. Plus Special Guest Liz Smith, as well as a few surprise guest appearances.

Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) is the nation’s leading industry-based, nonprofit AIDS fund raising and grant making organization. BC/EFA is the on-going, committed response from the American theater community to an urgent worldwide health crisis. By drawing upon the talents, resources and generosity of this community, BC/EFA raises funds for AIDS-related causes across the United States. Since it’s founding in 1988, BC/EFA has distributed over $85 million for critically needed services for people with AIDS, HIV, or HIV-related illnesses.
