About the Show

The Staten Island Philharmonic Orchestra presents Music of the Night, a benefit concert. Staten Island Advance editor Brian Laline serves as the host for the evening, which includes dinner, a silent auction, and a cabaret featuring songs from a variety of Broadway musicals.

Featured performers include: Raymond Jaramillo McLeod (B’way: Jekyll & Hyde, Dance of the Vampires, Wonderful Town), Andrea Rivette (B’way: Jekyll & Hyde; National Tours: Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon), David Weitzer (Regional: Jekyll & Hyde, Man of La Mancha w/ Staten Island Philharmonic), David Velarde (National & Int’l Tours: Jesus Christ Superstar; Int’l Tour: The Rocky Horror Show), Michael St. John (National Tour: Les Miserables; Regional: Phantom), Christina Connors (Headline production vocalist – Costa Cruise Lines), Allison Mosier (Regional: The Scarlet Pimpernel), and Richard Koons (National Tours: Titanic, A Christmas Carol).

The silent auction features many innovative offerings, including a chance to conduct the Staten Island Philharmonic Orchestra, dinner with Maestro José Alejandro Guzmán, a live concert at the winner’s home, and a wedding performed by the Rev. Benjamin Bortin.
