About This Show

William Shakespeare’s Macbeth, directed by Rupert Goold and starring Patrick Stewart, comes to Broadway for 64 performances only! The current sold out engagement at BAM ends on Saturday, March 22.

In one of Shakespeare’s greatest dramas, Patrick Stewart plays Macbeth-a man utterly determined to obtain the royal crown. Aided by his even more ambitious and ruthless wife, Macbeth murders the king and a comrade only to lose everything by the play’s end.

In his New York debut, Rupert Goold takes inspiration from Stalin’s Great Terror and directs this psychological and chilling tragedy in a stark, austere production that places Macbeth in a timeless, nameless, and lawless country.

A limited number of tickets are available to watch the March 28th final dress rehearsal of Macbeth. These select orchestra and front mezzanine tickets are available only through The Actors Fund, and are being sold as a special benefit to raise money for the vital programs and services of The Fund. All tickets for the March 28th final dress rehearsal are $100 and are available only through The Actors Fund.
