Have you ever had an experience about which you've thought to yourself, "my life should be put on stage!"? Playback Theatre, an international improvisational theatre form that plays back life stories told by audience members using spontaneously created music, movement, and text, affords you that very opportunity. While providing voyeuristic entertainment of the "reality TV" ilk, Playback Theatre creates an opportunity for dialogue, connection, and understanding between a neighborhood of strangers. Big Apple Playback Theatre (BAPT) is a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, inter-generational team of performers. Now in its 8th year, BAPT provides performances and workshops for schools, universities, conferences, homeless and domestic violence shelters, and arts/community agencies. We're excited to be bringing you our 16th annual public show and can't wait to play you back. So join us June 5th and 6th and bring plenty of stories, or if you're not the telling type, a pair of willing ears!
