About This Show

“Gifted with an outstanding voice! I simply love the way she carries the combination of rare talent, strong charisma and musical honesty” – Aarhus Onsdag (Denmark)

Scandinavian singer/songwriter, Annekei, set her feet on American soil for the first time a few years ago, then after just 6 months, a bunch of gigs, and some hard work later, she received a standing ovation at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem, where she participated in the famous Amateur Night and sang her way to the final. With inspiration from singers like Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill and Angie Stone, not to mention her parents who are both professional jazz musicians, Annekei creates a delicate combination of melodic soul, sexy beats and rhetoric profundity. She also recently signed to the Japanese Label Being Records and is poised to take Asia by storm.

Singer/Songwriter Chester Gregory is carving his own niche in the R&B male vocalist category. For his new CD titled, In Search of High Love, he has teamed up with some of the newest and hottest producers in the industry such as Dave Tozer (John Legend), David Cook (American Idol Tour) and Dave Liang (Carl Thomas). He is currently receiving rave reviews for his CD as well has his portrayal of “Terk” in Disney’s hit Broadway Musical Tarzan. He was able to work first hand with PHIL COLLINS, who wrote all of the music for Tarzan, including the hit, “Who Better Than Me,” which was written especially for Chester two weeks before the world premiere. Previous credits include the eight Tony Award winning Broadway hit musical, Hairspray (where he played “Seaweed”) and the title role in The Jackie Wilson Story. Chester has a 5 octave range. His lyrics have been described as poetically poignant, provocatively thoughtful, and captivating. Chester holds his own and fills a gap in today’s recording industry. He is described as a cross between John Legend and Usher, with influence from Prince, Donny Hathaway and the great Jackie Wilson himself. He gives meaningful, heartfelt songs that present profound messages without being preachy, and at the same time provides a high, uncompromising performance level.
