In June 2008, New York Theatre Workshop sent Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, the award-winning creators of The Exonerated, to Amman, Jordan to uncover the stories of Iraqi civilians following the invasion of Iraq. After interviewing over 35 refugees--a cross-section of lives interrupted--who fled the chaos of Iraq for the relative safety of Jordan, Jessica and Erik turned these conversations into Aftermath, an unforgettable documentary theatrical event. See a sneak peak of what promises to be a highlight of the fall theater season prior to premiere at New York Theatre Workshop. Excerpts are performed and Blank and Jensen share their journey and insights into their creative process. A reception with the artists follows in the rotunda of the museum.
