Travel to the Upper West Side and the period between the two world wars when the first wave of émigrés fleeing the Russian revolution – ballet masters, composers, writers, pianists, political activists and adventurers – settled there. Explore the magnificent architectural heritage of the area, its political and cultural history, and how buildings adapted to new circumstances.

The tour is led by architectural historian Matt Postal & Anatoli Samochornov, US State Dept. Meet at the NW corner of 73rd Street and Broadway.
