About This Show

Take a step back into the 1970s as you step down into The Sunken Living Room. With his mother away at a bridge tournament, 16-year-old Wade just wants to finish his homework. That won’t be easy, though. His 17-year-old brother is on another drug binge, and his brother’s girlfriend is trying to seduce him. With a soundtrack that features the music of Joni Mitchell, Peter Frampton, Steve Miller, Heart, and Foreigner, The Sunken Living Room is a comically heartbreaking story about one boy’s attempt to keep his family’s showpiece living room clean — and his family together — as the world around them changes.
