Each year just a little over two weeks before Mardi Gras Day, one of New Orleans' most witty and raucous renegade parades, Krewe du Vieux, kicks off parade season right in our neighborhood. Rolling from the Bywater through the Marigny and around the French Quarter (Vieux Carré), Snug Harbor is nestled neatly in the middle of it all. This year, the KdV route passes by Frenchmen Street twice; once on the way to the Vieux Carré, and once again on the way back. 

For Krewe du Vieux night, Snug Harbor removes the Music Room wall and opens up the place for one big three-hour party featuring some of New Orleans and Louisiana's legendary blues and funk musicians.

Papa Mali is a Mississippi-born, New Orleans-based American singer, songwriter, guitarist and producer. He has been a touring musician and recording artist for decades, yet is probably best known as the frontman for 7 Walkers, a band formed in 2009 that includes four musical icons; Grateful Dead founding drummer Bill Kreutzmann, The Meters founding bassist George Porter Jr, Grateful Dead songwriter and lyricist Robert Hunter, plus vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and Willie Nelson collaborator Matt Hubbard. 

For over 33 years, Camile Baudoin laid down the groove for epic New Orleans rock band The Radiators, defining that lugubrious Crescent City sounds known as "fishhead music" with his funk-driven rhythms, powerful slide work, and incendiary solos. After 4,000 performances, 17 albums, hundreds of major festival and television appearances, and thousands of loyal fans nationwide, Camile and The Radiators have earned a top berth as American rock & roll icons. His success is marked by a slew of accolades, including a Big Easy Lifetime Music Achievement Award and induction into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Baudoin's musical journey found him performing with some of the most influential talents in modern American music, such as Professor Longhair, Earl King, Eddie Bo, Taj Mahal, Jaco Pastorius, Dr. John, Travis Tritt, Greg Allman, Derek Trucks, Tower of Power, and more. His versatile guitar, assured rhythms, creative compositions, and easy nature represent the best of New Orleans, and every Louisiana musician born on the bayou. 

Originally hailing from Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of guitarist Wayne Faulconer, Casandra Faulconer picked up the bass as a teenager and never looked back. After completing a music degree in Canada and then cruising the Caribbean as a professional musician for several years, the infectious sounds, mystery, charm and greasy beat of New Orleans lured her to make the city her home in 1998. Casandra soon hooked up with Big Easy mainstays like Johnny Vidacovich, Gerald French, Stanton Moore, and other notables who engaged the young bassist to play with them around town on the regular, from straight up funk gigs to low down blues joints. 

Bay-area native Eric Bolivar lived and played in Brooklyn, NYC for several years before relocating to New Orleans in 2005 and becoming a beloved part of the city's musical fabric as swamp blues star Tab Benoit's drummer. He soon spent most of his next several years touring with Benoit and others, earning his place as a staple on the funk and blues jam circuits. Bolivar has since worked with an array of high-profile artists from blues and jazz to funk and rock, such as Ellis Marsalis Jr, Anders Osborne, Bonerama, Widespread Panic and Lenny Kravitz. 

The first 50 Tickets for tonight's show are guaranteed at just $10 in advance and will go up to $15 – $20, but capacity is limited, so advance tickets are strongly suggested in order to secure your spot inside during parade night. Tickets will be sold, cash only, at the door, and only as space remains available. This is standing room only show, with limited first-come, first-served seating. 

Restaurant and Bar doors open at 5:00pm for food and beverage service. 

Parade begins at 6:30pm and first passes by our corner around 7pm, again later. 

Music runs from 9pm to Midnight.  

Kitchen closes at 11pm. 

Bar closes at 1am. 

Ticket Holders receive re-entry wristbands to allow for in and out on Frenchmen Street all night, as capacity permits. No admission permitted without ticket/wristband after 7:00pm. 

Performances are currently sold at half the normal audience capacity, creating an even more intimate listening experience. Covid mandates are honored with masks required for all, and seating more distanced than our usual. Please be prepared to present a valid proof of Covid vaccination or negative PCR test dated within the past 3 days, with matching Photo ID for entry. No ticket refunds are issued if due to lack of Covid prevention preparation at the door. 

With the limited capacity, it is advised that you purchase advance tickets or arrive very early! This show WILL sell out.
